Stawell Aviation Services have been conducting outback tours since 1986, visiting many locations all over Australia. These tours offer a unique insight into the diverse lifestyles of outback Australians.

The Channel Country of Queensland and Central Australia has come alive after the heavy rainfall in Northern Australia in recent months. Our newest tour mixes nights on remote stations with the magical Kakadu National Park and Kimberley regions.  Our route will take you in 13 days to remote areas only accessible by aircraft and introduce you to scenery and experiences you have only dreamed of.  You'll learn lots too.  A visit to the dinosaur stampede fossils at Lark Quarry and the pub Waltzing Matilda was first performed in will educate and entertain.  Click here for tour dates and details. 

Stawell Aviation operate a fleet of Cessna high wing aircraft which are ideal sightseeing aircraft offering uninhibited viewing of the vast and beautiful outback landscape. Our tour groups are kept to around 20 people in order that you have the space and freedom to fully enjoy this great adventure.

All of our trips apart from the Birdsville Races are hotel/motel/resort accommodated on a dinner bed and breakfast basis. They include the published ground tours and all ground transfers and travel is included. The only extras are lunches and drinks.

On each trip there are one or two free days at major centres for you to enjoy as you wish. Tours depart from and return to Stawell.

The tours are particularly suited to busy people and with an average of only three hours flying per day it leaves plenty of time on the ground to meet local people and see the sights.
